Olmert: Jews to be Evacuated from Judea and Samaria

(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, speaking Sunday in a special cabinet meeting to discuss the future of the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria, said that Jews in those areas will need to be evacuated.

Olmert used the meeting to discuss compensation options for the minority of Jews in Judea and Samaria who have volunteered to leave their homes. No mention was made of those Jews who would refuse to leave.

A recent poll conducted throughout the areas in question showed that about 25,000 of some 60,000 Jewish residents living beyond the security barrier in what are described as 'isolated settlements' are willing to leave their homes in exchange for money.
