Woe to Us! There is no Fear of God in this Nation!

It is well to remember the Words of our Lord and Saviour for He always speaks Truth, as He is Truth. If He said to fear God Who can cast you into hell, then it is best to believe what He said.

If you want to be used of God in ministry, the fear of God is mandatory as you will have the fear of man as King Saul did (1 Samuel 15:24) or you will have the fear of God, which is pure and clean and brings the annointing of the Lord.

Moses was taught by God His fear. Maybe you have not heard this teaching but it is in the Bible for all to see and take heed:Moses had the FEAR of GOD instilled in him early in his ministry, which any man or woman used of God must have for we will either have the FEAR of GOD which is a blessing or the fear of man which is a curse.

Exodus:

And the Lord said unto Moses, When you go to return to the land of Egypt, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in your hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.
And you shall say unto Pharaoh, Thus says the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: And I say unto you, Let my son go, that he may serve me:
and if you refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay your son, even your firstborn. (Exodus 4:21-23)

Here we see God instructing Moses exactly how to deal with Pharoah. Watch the dramatic change in the next verse:

And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the Lord met him (Moses) and sought to KILL him. (Exodus 4:24)

Moses had been instructed by God to circumcise his son but apparently had put it off because of objections from his wife. Now he was to find out how fearful a thing it is to fall into the hands of the living God when being disobedient. And don't think for a minute that Moses did not know what God's intentions were! I am certain that he was immediately down on the ground crying out for mercy! And now, he could even go home (run home) and face his wife with all authority, just as he would later face Pharoah:

Then Zipporah took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and cast it at his feet and said, Surely a bloody husband you are to me. So he (God) let him (Moses) go: then she said, A bloody husband you are, because of the circumcision. (Exodus 4:25,26)

And the Wrath of God was removed from Moses and he knew the Lord had forgiven him for things are back to normal in the following verses:

And the Lord said to Aaron, Go into the widerness to meet Moses. And he went and met him in the mount of God and kissed him.
And Moses told Aaron all then words of the Lord who had sent him and all the signs which he had commanded him. (Exodus 4:27,28)

May each one of us know the FEAR of GOD in our lives for it is truely a blessing! It will keep us from the fear of man in our ministries.

For our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29).

Now, you may say to yourself, that was the Old Testament. God doesn't work that way anymore. He has given us His Son, Jesus, Who loves us and understand our frailties and gives us His grace and always forgives us.

Be advised how the church of Jesus Christ began in our present dispensation of Grace:

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost:
and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things. (Acts 5:1-11)

We see both in the Old and New Testaments that the fear of God was instilled into the ministry of His children, those who would be used by Him.
Now, let us look into the immediate future and see the fear of God again being demonstated:

And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake;
and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (Revelation 6:12-17)

This is about to happen. God will bring back His Fear to the church. I would suggest we all ponder these things. There are many promises in the Bible. They all have conditions. There are many warnings too:

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven (REVELATION 6!!).
And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:25-29)
