Report: Iranian General Abducted to Israel

According to an Iranian news report, Iranian General Ali Reza Asgari, who is missing, was abducted by Israel’s Mossad Intelligence Agency and is being held in an Israeli prison, contradicting other reports that the general defected to the West.

According to the Alef news site, viewed as a credible news source despite not run by the state authority, the missing general, who held high government posts, is well informed regarding Tehran’s nuclear program.

One veteran Israeli correspondent, Ron Ben-Yishai stated it is entirely possible the entire report is a trial balloon to monitor an Israeli and American response, Ynet reports.
