88 Iranian Professors Urge Ayatollah Khamenei to Halt Government Violence

A group of 88 Iranian professors has addressed a letter to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei calling for him to put a stop to violence against opposition protesters. Edward Yeranian reports for VOA News from Cairo:

The professors' call is being made as discontent grows on university campuses across Iran. Many students have been arrested, dormitories have been attacked, and the government has expelled or banned students from the university system.
