Our Arrival in Jerusalem:

A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. (Joel 2:2)

We landed this afternoon in Tel Aviv, a little ahead of schedule. Good tailwinds. All our flights ran smoothly. Great fellowship on the flight coming over. A brother and sister were 2 of the flight attendants and we had a grand time sharing our Saviour and His land, Israel.

When a child of God travels on a mission of the Lord you can expect miracles, favor, peace and joy. When we arrived in Tel Aviv it was cloudy, in the 60's and really nice. We took our jackets off and enjoyed the hour trip to Jerusalem by Shavout.

Well, were we surprised (shocked!)! Dark clouds came up as soon as we entered Jerusalem, fierce wind, rain, HAIL!, thunder and lightening!! All the way to our hotel and that's not the half of it. We are staying on the Mount of Olives and the Jewish cab drivers will not go there as it is outside the city (I knew this going in but was OK with it). They told us, "It's too dangerous!"

When we got out amidst the lightening, thunder, hail, wind and rain to change to a Palestinian cab a fierce argument broke out in front of us over who would take us. Needless to say we were surprised but not the least threatened. The older one bullied the younger and he drove us up to our hotel. (I remind our readers that at the soon coming Battle of Gog/MaGog, God will turn brother against brother (Ezekiel 38:31). We are seeing this already happening, in Iran and between the Palestinian peoples, not to mention the Shia/Shite, Sunni battles.

I went to the Lord about what had happened. I told the Lord, "You know You always are good to us and give us favour and kindness and pretty weather and nice things in our travels. I don't understand what just happened and why. I believe I am in Your Will in going on this trip."

The Lord (He is such a wonderful, patient parent!) reminded me of the scripture He gave me yesterday as the theme for our mission. JOEL, CHAPTERS 1 & 2. The DAY OF THE LORD is coming! Soon! I do believe we are there! I am so serious. Revelation 6, the Wrath of the Lamb, the Rapture!

Tonight, about 11:30pm we took a cab into East Jerusalem to Avi's deli. We had a pizza and it was delicious. Avi is half Greek and half Palestinian. We told them we were Christians and witnessed to them about Jesus.

My first time to Israel and Jerusalem. My first impressions: the friction, the tenseness, the anger, the rage, is palpable! This whole place is fixing to blow!

Our Yeshua is coming soon and very soon. Are you ready to meet Him?

Yep, rainy thunderstorms are typical for this time of year over there. They've been praying for that weather because they need the rain so badly.

It's interesting that you are feeling a lot of tension over there. I really believe that some time between now and Pentecost will be "IT." God help us to keep our eyes on Him.

Thanks for the update. Keep 'em coming.
