Under the Republican, Bush administration! Our children in America are slaves to illegal drugs, violence, pornography, sex, rock and rap music. They are taken by the state when they are adolescents and sent to mind control, programming centers where their young, innocent minds are indoctrinated with antichrist, humanist doctrine. Five days a week, six or eight hours a day, they are taught to rely on the state and themselves. They are taught that this life is hard and competitive so climb or claw your way to the top and do what you have to do to get there. They are taught the humanist golden rule: he who has the most gold, rules. After they get home from the indoctrination centers, they are taught to switch on the indoctrination box. This box takes them places where the state indoctrination centers are preparing them to live out their adult years - the kingdoms of sports, entertainment, politics, fantasy, or just working for money and things. Jesus said, "......Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. " (Mark 10:14) This nation robs its children of their God-given right to know their Creator and the Forgiveness, Love, Joy, Protection, Eternal Life that He has for each one of them. This nation does its best to distract its children and adults from the Truth of God's Holy Word by filling their minds with needless garbage and their time with endless activities until their last breath is breathed and they suddenly and hopelessly realize that they are shut out of the Kingdom of Heaven forever and have been thrust into Eternal Damnation. A CHRISTIAN'S ALLEGIANCE The Bible says that when we repent of our sins and receive Jesus into our hearts as our Saviour and Lord, we are translated out of the kingdom of darkness (the nations of this world system) and into the Kingdom of Light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (Collossians 1:13,14) We are now called soldiers: No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. (2 Timothy 2:4) Christian soldiers serve their nation (Heaven), only. They are loyal to their nation and to their King, only. They fight for their King, only! Their weapon is the Word of God, only. We are now called ambassadors: Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:20) Ambassadors live in a foreign nation! They are strangers in a strange land. They do not entangle themselves with the affairs of their host country but only represent their King, on His behalf. Their duty and desire is to serve their King and further His interest. To the Christian, that interest is the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our purpose and ministry is reconciliation. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; (2 Corinthians 5:18) Reconciliation verb 1. resolve, settle, square, adjust, compose, rectify, patch up, harmonize, put to rights 2. reunite, bring back together, make peace between, pacify, conciliate 3. make peace between Every one of us are called to this ministry. This is our life. This is our obligation to our King. We must set our faces like flint and say, as our Lord and Saviour did: .....nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done (Luke 22:42) ......the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? (John 18:11) ......Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do... (Luke 23:34) THE PROBLEMS IN OUR NATION ARE SPIRITUAL Our Father in Heaven gave His children a formula for revival and a solution to their plight, when they have been rebellious and disobedient: If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; (2 Chronicles 7:13) Let's take a look at our nation and see if we are suffering any of the curses listed above: 1. Surely Isaiah must have seen this present world and maybe even this country, in the Spirit, when he prophesied: Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. (Isaiah 1:4) Isaiah declared: Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! (Isaiah 5:20,21) THE SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEMS IS SPIRITUAL If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14) Let's break it down: 1. If my people, which are called by my name Today, this passage means us, the born again Christian. We are God's people. We are called by his Name. 2. shall humble themselves, and pray Truly, only the Lord can tell if we are fulfilling this part. Looking around our nation, reading, watching, listening to other Christians, I would have to say, we are not humbling ourselves and we are not praying as we should. I do not hear leaders calling for repentance, prayer and fasting. Looking around at some of them, I believe they have been calling for play and feasting. Daniel is a wonderful example of a child of God who showed us how to receive answers from God: And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: (Daniel 9:3) 3. and turn from their wicked ways I can only say, in my opinion, it is hard to tell the difference between those who call themselves Christians and the heathen, the unsaved. From what I have witnessed, the Christian today believes that they can live any way they want to, go anywhere they want to, watch anything they want to and act any way they want to. They believe as long as they call themselves Christians and maybe attend meetings at church buildings on Sundays they are OK, right with God and will go to Heaven when they die. Truly, they fulfill the last days prophecy: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2 Timothy 4:3,4) 4. then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land If our land is not healed (and it obviously is not) then we have not obeyed the Word of God. We, the Christian, have not humbled ourselves, fasted, prayed nor turned from our wicked ways. I believe there is a remnant. God always has a people. Today, they must be in hiding. They surely are not in charge! So, what can we do, personally, as we wait upon our Lord's return? He told us what to do when we see the signs of His coming (as we continue to fulfill the Great Commission): Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
